True Cost of Kolb Extension

The RTA initially included the full $87M cost of the project to extend Kolb Road to Sabino Canyon Road over the Pantano. Now, they are only funding 10% of the project which is inadequate for traffic.

Notice this article also reports that the City of Tucson considered this project but rejected it. The city concluded it was not a cost effective solution to Tanque Verde traffic problems.

The RTA initially included the true $87M cost of the project to extend Kolb Road to Sabino Canyon Road over the Pantano as reported on the front page of the Arizona Daily Star. Now, they are only funding 10% of the project, which is inadequate for traffic. Notice this article also reports that the City of Tucson considered this project but rejected it.
